Kids from single parent homes are more likely to live in poverty, of course. Here are more statistics about them in a government article. http://lib.post.ca.gov/Publications/Building%20a%20Career%20Pipeline%20Documents/Safe_Harbor.pdf
63 percent of youth suicides are from single parent families. 75 percent of youths in hospitals for chemical dependency are from single parent families. Don’t know how the parents manage to pay for that. 85 percent of youths in prisons are from single parent families. Looking for love in all the wrong places.
there should now be a study about the people in all the institutions who are treating these kids. Are these people from single parent families? Are these people single parents themselves and more likely to project a defensive modality onto the treatment. Is growing up in a single parent family ever discussed in the treatment? Are these alarming statistics ever told to the kids? I’ll tell you right now, that “no”, they’re not. Treatment is all about keeping this information hidden.
In the ACE study it was found that older people with high Ace scores went to a doctor who asked about childhood traumas had significantly higher treatment rates (something in the 30 percent).

In my recent post I noted that I had reviewed all 400 and something members of the current Congress and found that only 3-4 percent admit to being Children of Divorce on their Wikipedia biographies.
So, I looked up the 90 members of Congress who were known to be Tea Party members. I counted 9 out of 90 who confess to having divorced parents. So, the percentage goes up to 10 percent of Tea Party members who have divorced parents. Many have since been voted out or have quit Congress.

Funny you should wonder such a thing. That nice little bunny rabbit wouldn’t hurt a fly after all.
HaHa.
